STYLE Recap: FGI Atlanta Talks Fragrance with Atlanta Top Beauty Experts

The Atlanta region of Fashion Group International hosted another successful event on Tuesday courtesy of Blo Beauty Bar. Invited guests were privy to experience an evening networking with some of Atlanta's top beauty experts while learning about the making and business of fragrance. Complimentary small bites and wine were also served. Guest speakers for the evening included Susan Sexton, master perfurmer for BLEND, Kiev Osborne, owner and creative director for Miracle Bars and Melissa Methier, owner of Blo Beauty Bar.

Susan Sexton opened the discussion about fragrance by introducing her company BLEND. Susan talked about the difference between base, heart and top notes and what a client will experience when visiting BLEND to create their personalized fragrance. Kiev Osborne discussed fragrance and how it works with soap. She also discussed why most consumers prefer a simple fragrance and not anything too complex. Melissa closed out the evening by discussing how fragrance affects the hair industry and why a clean scent is preferred amongst most consumers.
